Renske getting out of bed in the morning, with sunlight hitting a blue alarm clock on the side table and jumbled sheets in the background reminded the artist of Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus'. Note the 'solid shadow', cast by the figure against the wall, making a less formalised appearance in this later period.
